Strategy

The genesis of The Beachlands’ brand lies in the embrace of its rugged terrain and its demand for a design forward, “well-lived” life. Westcoast living is elevated; demanding progressive, modern design spoiled by the jawdropping backdrop of the spectacular coastal surround. Sophistication without pretention. The Beachlands expects the adventurous and promises exquisite comfort and convenience.

AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Rationale

MIU worked collaboratively with local photographers and videographers to beautifully capture the essence of the land. The unique topography and overwhelmingly spectacular views were captured with drone aerial photography and intimate moments of connection in the environs. Collaboration with talented architects yielded a stunning 10,500sf Experience Centre, complete with custom-designed modular exhibitry intended to service the lifespan of the project.

At once monolithic and welcoming, an oversize, lowercase, undulating ‘b’ serves as the short form introduction to The Beachlands. With a decidedly modern foundation set in rich black, the secondary colours are derivative from the surroundings, intentionally using custom imagery as our palette. Allowing the land and seascapes to inhabit an otherworldliness driven by image captures that focused on different perspectives and textural magnification, the uniqueness of The Beachlands is celebrated.
